Musicians

Brandon King is an accomplished musician and instructor from the Milwaukee area. He studied Saxophone Performance under Curt Hanrahan at the Peck School of The Arts in the University of Milwaukee.  Able to play up to five instruments proficiently, Brandon has been performing with multiple ensembles in the midwest professionally for over a decade.

Don Jose Acevedo played bass and guitar with salsa groups in Puerto Rico in the 1970s and 80s. He played fusion music, mixing jazz, Puerto Rican folk music, and salsa, reaching a peak by performing at the Centro De Bellas Artes in his early 20s. After coming to Milwaukee to work and study, he worked as an educator with MPS and retired after 28 years. He attended the University of Milwaukee, where he finished a masters and Ph D. Jose took courses at the Conservatory of Music and with bassist Tom McGuire, and has his own quartet that plays bossas, boleros, and Cuban 1940s songs.
Chris Klinkhardt, originally from Long Island, New York, attended SUNY Fredonia, and then transferred to William Patterson College to take advantage of their Jazz Performance/Music Business program. Chris gained experience under the tuteldge of teachers like Dave Rogers, Rufus Reid, Joe Levano, as well as performing with many groups in and around the Tri-State area. In 1989 Chris took to the high seas, performing with the show bands of several of the major cruise lines. Settling in South Florida in 1992, Chris was active in the local music scene, performing with many groups and artists, including Melton Mustafa, Ira Sullivan, Jesse Jones, and Richie Cole, among many others. Relocating back to Long Island, Chris took a position with Carl Fischer Publishing, but continued to play professionally with many local groups and ensembles. In 2009 Chris and his family moved to Milwaukee to accept a position with Hal Leonard Corporation. Chris continues to play actively throughout the Milwaukee area.
